THS: Terry’s Hollywood Story

True Hollywood Story – E!’s well-known series that tells the tales behind some of the famous faces we know – turns into Terry’s Hollywood Story as the young actress heads off to star in one of the most popular soapies around, The Bold and the Beautiful. It must be quite surreal for her, as so many of us grew up with that soap – and if you were in my mother’s household, also had to endure Days and Loving too!

Terry, who you will remember shot to fame with her role  in Tsotsi, which went onto win the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar in 2006, has landed a role as a South African surgeon. We first met during the excitement around Tsotsi when I had just started at Eyewitness News 5 years ago. It’s great to be able to have tracked her career up until now. Yesterday was her first day on the B&B set, and from the tweets it seems all went swimmingly!

I chatted to Terry at the Beverly Hilton, when I was in LA last week, ahead of her new beginning.

With her bestie Mampho Brescia, from Jacob’s Cross and District 9 – the ladies had just spent a rocking weekend in Vegas for Terry’s 30th.
