RIP Elizabeth Taylor

After battling a number of health problems over the years, Dame Elizabeth Taylor died this morning in Los Angeles, due to congestive heart failure. She was 79 years old. Many will remember her as one of the last great classic glamorous Hollywood actresses – who won 2 Academy Awards and married 8 times to 7 men. She was vocal in the fight against HIV/Aids, having co-founded AmfAR and created the Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation.

Liz Taylor had taken to using Twitter quite a bit before she was re-admitted to hospital. One of her last tweets reads:

You are who you are. All you can do in this world is help others to be who they are and better themselves and those around them.
