Entertainment Express: Golden Globes, Girls, The Avengers 2

* Ahead of the Season 3 premiere this weekend, Girls has been snapped up for a fourth season by HBO. The Boardwalk Empire, however, has not been renewed for another season.

* The next Avengers movie may be filming scenes in South Africa at the Cape Town Film Studios. If so, it’ll be following in the footsteps of films like Dredd and Safe House which have also filmed at the studios, since they opened in 2010.

* It’s the first big party of awards season this Sunday, with the Golden Globes handing out their awards on behalf of the Hollywood Foreign Press.

* Bastille and Disclosure led this year’s Brit Awards, with four nominations each, followed by Ellie Goulding, who has three. The ceremony takes place in London next month.
