The Rundown

Entertainment Express: BAFTAs, Adele, Stan Lee, NYC Ballet, The Curious Incident

Hello, from a flight headed for sunnier skies in LA…

* Nominations for the BAFTAs, often referred to as Britain’s Oscars, have been announced, and Gravity leads the pack, along with 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle.

* She may have slipped off the radar since the birth of her child, but Adele still continues to to do astounding things. Her album, 21, has become the first-ever digital album to sell over three million copies.

* Stan Lee, the almighty legend of comic book creators, has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter he’ll be making an appearance – in a big role – on the TV show Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

* New York City Ballet has enlisted the work of artist JR, who has become known for pasting portraits all over the streets of the world, to help bring art and dance closer together. It’s just lovely!

* A new drama heads to the Great White Way – the hit London play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time heads to Broadway later this year.  Based on Mark Haddon’s best-selling novel, the production won 7 Olivier awards.
