Entertainment Express: Anchorman 2, Monuments Men, Anoushka Shankar, River Phoenix, Thor: The Dark World

Hello from a city that is deep in a mayoral race and also in the sights of a couple of washed-out anchormen…

* There’s a new Anchorman 2 trailer, as the team move the action to New York City and try broadcasting in the world of 24/7 news.

* We’re going to have wait a little longer to see George Clooney’s The Monuments Men, which has jut been pushed over to early next year. Clooney told the LA Times they need more time to finish the film’s visual effects.

* You absolutely must hear Anoushka Shankar‘s tribute with her half-sister Norah Jones to their late father Ravi Shankar. It’s just beautiful, and comes from the sitar-player’s latest album, Traces of You, which has just been released.

* At the end of the month, it’ll be 20 years since River Phoenix died outside a club in LA, and a book has been released, Last Night at the Viper Room, that tries to make sense of his short life.

* Thor: The Dark World had its premiere in London last night, where stars Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston walked the red carpet, ahead of the film’s November 8th release in the US.
