Rewind Selecta!

So how was 2010 for you? For me, it was a pretty good year. Let’s look back, shall we?

I went to Hollywood to cover the South African buzz at the Oscars. It was my first time working on this story from LA – what a crazy, fun time I had!

There was a lot of excitement around Spud the movie and I went to KwaZulu Natal to interview the star of the film, John Cleese, who couldn’t stop raving about young Troye Sivan, another up-and-coming South African-born actor.

The SAMAs were filled with more craziness – and Big Nuz made sure they represented KwaZulu Natal in a BIG way, winning a host of trophies.

I covered my 4th Cannes Film Festival, where SA film Life, Above All received ten-minute a standing ovation and the Winnie movie kicked into gear.

But the biggest news story of the year was Africa’s first hosting of the Fifa World Cup – viva South Africa, viva!

What were some of your highlights?

  1. I am commenting to let you know of the fantastic encounter my cousin’s daughter experienced reading your site. She even learned many issues, not to mention what it’s like to have a wonderful giving mindset to have many people just grasp chosen grueling subject areas. You really exceeded our expectations. Many thanks for distributing the informative, healthy, educational and as well as easy thoughts on the topic to Jane.
