Henry Cavill is a name that might soon live on in immortality as the clock ticks down to his performance in the highly coveted role of the new Superman. We’ll only see him in Man of Steel in 2013, but in the meantime, he (along with his spectacular abs) stars in Immortals, with Mickey Rourke, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans and Freida Pinto.
The 28-year-old plays Theseus in this gods-and-heroes tale, a role he was cast in before he scored the Superman one. As he mentions in the interview below, the physical prep on Immortals helped him get ready for Superman.
Unfortunately – or perhaps fortunately – Mickey Rourke cancelled the rest of his interviews on the day I was meant to speak to him because he didn’t want to do anymore. He’s ferocious in the movie, but I was looking to speaking to him, especially since he’s been making quite the comeback.
Immortals is out on the cinema circuit now.
