* The father-son relationship between South African musician Hugh Masekela and Sal, will be turned into a movie, with Oscar-winning producer Paul Haggis on board.

* The three members making up Russian punk band Pussy Riot have been sentenced to 2 years in prison for their anti-Putin protest in a cathedral.
