Entertainment Express: Oscar Pistorius, Lollapalooza, Marilyn Monroe, Jamaica, Green Awards

* South Africans have loved him for a number of years, but double amputee Oscar Pistorius has now won over the US media with his inspiring story of triumph in getting to the Olympics. He’s also won over the hearts of celebs like Samuel L Jackson, Joe Jonas, Gavin Rossdale and Denise Richards. And no doubt he’ll keep doing so.

* The Red Hot Chili Peppers headlined Lollapalooza this past weekend, after severe weather shut the festival down for a few hours on Saturday.

* This past weekend marked 50 years since the death of Marilyn Monroe.

* Jamaica celebrates 50 years of independence. We celebrate the country that, among other things, gave us reggae music and Bob Marley.

* Voting closes today in the Green Awards for the Most Responsible Celebrity.
