The Rundown

Entertainment Express: Archie, Alicia Keys, Joan Jett, Coldplay, Bad Neighbours

*  If you, like me, grew up reading Archie Comics, it’s going to feel like the end of an era, with the revelation that the beloved character Archie Andrews will die in an upcoming issue of Life with Archie. This will end the series, which tells stories of ‘”future Archie”, beyond Riverdale High, but it doesn’t mean no more Archie comics at all. As for how he dies, CEO John Goldwater says it will be “as he lived – heroically.”

* Alicia Keys is teasing out the video for her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack song, It’s On Again, produced by Pharrell, who in the video seems to be enjoying his acting role.

* The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place in Brooklyn tomorrow night, and it appears, thanks to an Instagram pic,  Joan Jett may be fronting the Nirvana performance. The Seattle band, together with KISS, Linda Ronstadt, Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates and Cat Stevens will all be honoured.

* Coldplay released the music video for the first single off Ghost Stories. Magic stars Chinese actress Ziyi Zhang and is directed by Jonas Akerlund, who’s shot videos for Madonna, Prodigy and Beyonce/Lady Gaga too.

* One of the funniest films I’ve seen in a while has a new trailer. Seth Rogan’s Neighbors, or as it’s known overseas, Bad Neighbours, is due out in May. The movie, which premiered at SXSW last month, pits Seth Rogan’s character and his wife, played by Rose Byrne, against fratboys Zac Efron and Dave Franco.
