This week’s Celeb Green Tip is about Al Gore’s latest project – the Dirty Weather Report. He launched it this past week at the Social Good Summit, which I attended here in New York.
Al – who likes to call himself the man who was almost President of the United States – is a staunch climate change advocate, behind the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth. He’s concerned – as many are here in the US – that the climate crisis is not being addressed by the Presidential Candidates, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. So he’s calling on people around the world to use social media for his newest initiative, called The Dirty Weather Report.
It’s a follow-up version to his 24 Hours of Reality project from last year – an event streamed online to help people connect the dots between climate change and its diverse impacts around the globe. This year’s version, scheduled for November 14-15, is titled 24 Hours of Reality: The Dirty Weather Report. The Climate Reality Project will stream content about dirty weather that’s occurred around the world in the last year.
