Yayoi Kusama’s New Infinity Mirrored Room is Here.

90-year old Yayoi Kusama first came to New York in the late ’50s, and it’s here in the city that she mounted the first of her “infinity rooms”, in the ‘60s. This weekend, a new exhibition of hers opens at the David Zwirner gallery, including a new Infinity Mirror Room, titled Dancing Lights That Flew Up to The Universe, and also a Ladder to Heaven. Amazing to think of Kusama still creating art at her age, but you can see a bit of how she must be feeling about it all when you take a walk around the gallery. It’s taken a long time for her to get to this stage, and she’s not about to go quietly.
