A road-trip back from Vegas. Three girls, a rented car, Route 66. A soundtrack to accompany the journey taken to celebrate a milestone birthday. The scenery outside was of rolling mountains and scraggly terrain, while inside, the music playing on the stereo conjured up images of monsters, of men and of women – trying to find their way in the woods, the mountains, the waters of Iceland. It was the perfect accompaniment to the emotions of a road still to be navigated, at that moment and beyond.
